“Personally, the Recovery College has been a revelation in opening up a whole new world of education and avenues to explore, and inspired a new found appreciation for life from within.”
“Twelve months ago, after luckily avoiding meeting my Maker by the proverbial skin of my teeth, life needed a new direction. Hearing of the Recovery College on the grapevine and ever the eternal optimist, I decided to give it a whirl. Rather than enrol online, I thought I’d just pop into the Mirfield venue. Naturally a little apprehensive upon arrival I found there was absolutely no need to be, as to my delight I was welcomed with open arms.
The premises are well maintained and facilities spotless. A testament in itself. Staff along with tutors/facilitators and volunteers alike are friendly, considerate, understanding and knowledgeable. Absolute salt of the earth. Communication is frequent and timely. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. Courses are varied, interesting and very well presented, with the onus being participation. There is no such thing as a stupid question here, ask away to your hearts content.
Personally, the Recovery College has been a revelation in opening up a whole new world of education and avenues to explore, and inspired a new found appreciation for life from within. I have attended numerous courses and loved every single minute of them, meeting many marvelous people. Not once have I surfaced and not wanted to attend. Suffice to say it’s been a pleasure to witness caring and competence combined. Should anyone be considering attending for the first time upon the Recovery College re-opening (following COVID-19) I’d encourage you not to hesitate. Everyone I’ve met associated with the running of the RC are exceptional and I’d have no qualms trusting a single one with my life. An accolade second to none.”
