Woolbeing: mandalas, pom-poms & tassles
Holmfirth Tech, 140 Huddersfield Road, Holmfirth, HD9 3AR
Life skills and interests
Join us for this brand-new creative and soothing workshop where we’ll explore the many therapeutic benefits of working with wool. With the help and support of our lovely Peer Worker, Ali we’ll discover three delightful crafts that promote relaxation, mindfulness and self-expression. Using soft, colourful wool fibers we’ll learn how to make a beautiful mandala; a circular pattern that symbolises unity and harmony. We’ll also have the opportunity to make fluffy, tactile pom-poms. The repetitive motion of this particular activity is a great way to soothe the mind! Finally, we’ll dive into tassle-making using a variety of different yarns. As we twist and trim we can allow our stresses to melt away in a welcoming and safe space.
