Life skills and interests
Join us we head back in time to the early 20th Century and learn about the Golden Age of Hollywood! On this popular four-week course, delivered by our friendly and enthusiastic Recovery College Volunteers, Russel and Joy, we will learn about the great stars of Hollywood in the early years of the movies. Learn things you never knew about the famous names and faces of the silver screen, and find out about the evolution of stardom from one and two reel silent movies to the Technicolor, stereophonic and widescreen epics of the 1950s.Throughout the course, we will watch many movie clips containing some of the biggest stars of the era. For the final week we’ll watch a full-length movie together. Popcorn provided!
This course is suitable for all learners, whether or not you have previously undertaken a Golden Age of Hollywood course.
