Quilted Connections: Celebrating Ten Years of the Recovery College
Project Colt, Elland, Halifax, Bridgefield Mills, Elland Bridge, Elland, Halifax HX5 0SQ
Life skills and interests
Join us for a four-week creative and collaborative journey celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Calderdale and Kirklees Recovery & Wellbeing College, in partnership with the ‘WOVEN in Kirklees’ textile project.
This hands-on course invites you to design and create your own unique quilt square using a No-Sew technique (or you can use stitching if you choose). Your quilt square will become part of our special 10th Anniversary Collaborative Quilt which will be showcased during the WOVEN Festival and other events.
No need to worry if you’re not handy with a needle, sewing is entirely optional and no previous experience is required—just bring your creativity! You’ll be working with donated and recycled fabrics to design a quilt square that reflects your interpretation of the themes of Celebrating the College and what it Means to You and Creativity for Wellbeing.
Join us for a fun and meaningful experience in a relaxed, supportive environment, guided by our friendly facilitator, Ali. Embrace the joy of textile arts while contributing to a community project that celebrates creativity and wellbeing.
If you prefer to create a square without attending this course, you can read more about how to get involved here: Get Involved in our 10 Year Celebrations through Fabric Art! – Calderdale and Kirklees Recovery College
