My development

Supporting others

In this engaging 7-week face to face course, we’ll be exploring what mentoring is and building the skills to become a successful mentor, and to support others.

  • Do you want to be able to support others as part of your job role and/or volunteering?
  • Do you want to develop your communication skills?
  • Do you want to know how to set goals and know when these have been achieved?
  • Are you aged 19+?

If you answered “yes” to these questions, then this course is for you! Delivered by our partners at Kirklees Success Centre, it will provide you with the essential skills, knowledge and confidence to be an effective mentor. We’ll be looking at what a mentor does, gaining an understanding of important policies and procedures to support mentoring, and learning how to set helpful goals and objectives.

This course will have a two breaks on the 14th and 28th October, so the course will conclude on Monday 11 November 2024.

Please be aware that due to funding from Kirklees Success Centre, priority will be given to learners living in Kirklees.  Also, you will be required to complete Kirklees Success Centre’s own enrolment forms at the start of this course.
