Do you find it hard to say no? Do you often go along with what others want or expect? Is it tough to get your voice heard in a respectful way?
In this brand-new course, we look at the crucial role of communication in our lives, health, and relationships. We’ll break down and clarify terms like confidence, assertiveness, and self-esteem. By reflecting on our own experiences, we’ll explore various communication styles and identify what makes communication truly effective. As we progress, we’ll learn some assertiveness skills, and will have the opportunity to practice these in a supportive environment, helping us to become more confident in using them. This course, delivered by our lovely Peer Worker, Karen aims to empower us to communicate our needs and boundaries which can help improve our relationships with others, be it friends, family, colleagues or health professionals.
Please note there will be a one week break for half term (Wednesday 30 October)
