Wellbeing tools

Come along and join friendly facilitators, Jess & Russel as we head out and enjoy the great outdoors for a walk in beautiful tranquil settings across Kirklees. Supported by Creative Minds, these sessions will also provide the opportunity to try some creative activities during the walks including, arts and crafts, photography and creative writing.  So, please join us on this wellbeing adventure and learn some new ways to give your mood a boost.

The last of our walks is

30th of May, Slaithwaite: There are no toilets on this route.
Activity: God’s Eye making and poetry writing.

The Slaithwaite walk is gentle in nature. All the walks will include breaks for creative activities and there is free parking near to all the starting points. Please bring a packed lunch and wear appropriate clothing and footwear according to the weather. Tea and coffee will be provided.

You will be asked to complete a short physical health questionnaire before being booked onto the course. This must be completed before you attend so any support needs or concerns regarding your physical health can be discussed with the facilitator.

"The Calderdale and Kirklees Recovery College creative wellbeing walks offer more than just a stroll through scenic paths; they provide a lifeline for those grappling with mental health issues. As someone who was thrust into the isolating world of working from home and subsequently diagnosed with depression, these walks became a pivotal part of my healing journey."
