Yoga for Self-Care
Huddersfield Mission, 3-13 Lord Street, Huddersfield. HD1 1QA
Wellbeing tools
This course offers an opportunity to practice elements of Yoga, as a tool for self care. Research suggests that yoga can calm the mind, improve sleep, increase concentration and could relieve symptoms of depression. It also increases strength and flexibility as we physically work to keep our bodies moving.
The programme, led by our lovely Yoga Teacher, Laura will include mini-movement routines that can be undertaken at home, breath practices to help meet our emotional needs, and elements to build our mind and body connection. This class provides fully accessible practices as movements can be adapted and joining from a chair is encouraged.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing during sessions and you will be required to complete a health questionnaire before attending.
