Keeping Connected and the Weekly Update
Welcome to our weekly update. You can find June’s edition of our newsletter, Keeping Connected, here:
This coming week is national Volunteer Week and so we’d like to take this chance to say a massive ‘Thank you’ to all of you who give your time freely to help our College to thrive. Whether you are a volunteer or Friend of the College who co-facilitates courses, makes sure our offer is known about far and wide, or contributes to our newsletter and blogs, or whether you’re a learner who helps with the tidying away and washing up at the end of a course you’ve attended, we value every single one of you! All your contributions are hugely helpful and make a big difference to what we’re able to achieve. If you’re interested in finding out more about becoming a Friend of the College or a volunteer please contact us and we’ll be happy to talk you through the different ways you can get involved.

Writing for Self-Expression
Online
Friday 7 June 2024 10.00am – 11.30am, 4 weeks
Expressive writing is about self-expression. It helps us to think about our experiences and put our thoughts and feelings into words. In this welcoming course, we’ll take time to reflect and write in a safe, friendly and confidential atmosphere that fosters personal awareness and wellbeing.
These friendly, online sessions delivered by our partners at the Royal Literary Fund will be facilitated by a professional writer and one of our Peer Workers. Each week we’ll consider a short piece of published writing and talk together about the impact the words have on us. Writing prompts and exercises will be offered, encouraging us to write about our own experiences, thoughts and feelings.
