Come along and join our friendly facilitators, as we head out and enjoy the great outdoors for a walk in beautiful tranquil settings across Kirklees. Supported by Creative Minds, these sessions will also provide the opportunity to try some creative activities during the walks including arts and crafts and photography. So, please join us on this wellbeing adventure and learn some new ways to give your mood a boost.

There will be four walks in different locations across Kirklees over consecutive weeks, so you can book onto as many (or as few) as you like! The walks are planned to be conducted at a gentle, leisurely pace with mostly flat routes, so they are suited to those who are just getting into walking, or who would like a gentler approach to exercising and getting outdoors.

Walks will take place in the following locations; Dewsbury, Batley, Huddersfield, Slaithwaite.

More detailed information about the routes and locations of the walks will be provided after booking, or contact us on 07717 867911 or ckrecovery.wellbeing@swyt.nhs.uk

Please come dressed appropriately for the weather, and wearing supportive walking shoes or trainers with a good grip. Remember to bring a drink / water bottle, and waterproofs, sun hat / suncream etc as needed. Feel free to bring snacks if you’d like.

You will be asked to complete a short physical health questionnaire before being booked onto the course. This must be completed before you attend so any support needs or concerns regarding your physical health can be discussed with the facilitator.
