Festive Craft Fun
Mirfield Community Centre, Water Royd Lane, Mirfield, WF14 9SG
Life skills and interests
The festive season is a great time to get creative, so why not join our super friendly facilitators, Laura and Joy, for this fab five-week course where we will, using simple techniques create our own festive calendar or wall decoration using felt. We will also recycle old books by turning them into beautiful seasonal decorations for our homes. Whatever our skills and abilities, engaging in a creative activity is a great way to increase our sense of wellbeing. It allows us to focus on a single positive task, letting us put our worries aside for a while, as well as giving us the chance to meet other learners, and build our confidence by creating something from scratch that is totally unique. Our individual pieces can relate to any seasonal event, whether it be Christmas, Hanukkah, the Winter Solstice or Chinese New Year – the choice is yours!
No previous experience is necessary and everyone is welcome.
